What Vynance does

Vynance is a personal finance record-keeping app for Android phones. You enter your income and expenses; the app organises them into accounts, categories and budgets, and shows you where your money actually goes.

It is a private ledger, not a banking app. Vynance does not connect to any bank, does not read your statements and cannot move money. Every figure it shows is calculated from entries you typed yourself.

Transactions & accounts — log expenses, income and transfers across bank, cash, wallet, credit-card and investment accounts, each in its own currency.
Budgets & alerts — set monthly limits per category and get a local notification as you approach them.
Reports & insights — category breakdowns, spending trends, cash-flow and savings charts.
Debts & repayments — track money lent and borrowed per person, and what is outstanding or overdue.
Investments & pensions — record holdings and retirement plans over time, and see contributions against growth.
Receipts, voice & widgets — attach a receipt photo, add a transaction by speaking it, check your balance from the home screen.

Why Vynance asks for a Google account

Vynance uses two Google services, and only these two. Google Sign-In identifies which account a backup belongs to, and lets the app detect when a different person signs in on a shared device. Google Drive stores your backup — a compressed copy of the app database and your receipt images — inside your own Google account.

The app requests the drive.appdata scope only. That is Drive's hidden, application-specific folder: Vynance cannot see, read, list or modify any other file in your Drive, and we have no access to the backup at all. It exists so that replacing or resetting your phone does not cost you your records.

How we build

Local first. Your data lives on your device. We run no server that collects it.
No tracking. No analytics SDKs, no advertising, no behavioural profiling in any product we ship.
Your data is portable. Everything you enter can be exported and taken elsewhere.
Plainly explained. Every product says what it collects and why, in words rather than boilerplate.
